Nizpro ECU Flashing Upgrades

Nearly every fuel injected Yamaha outboard engine relies on a critical piece of electronic hardware to optimize the way the engine runs. This minicomputer is known as the Engine Control Unit, or ECU. 

The ECU uses the information about the air and data from other vital sensors such as the throttle-position sensor (how much power the operator is demanding) and the crank-position sensor (how fast the engine is running) to determine how much fuel to spray into each cylinder for optimal power and best fuel economy given the current conditions and operator request

When the ECU is ‘flashed’ also known as a firmware upgrade install, the engine’s overall performance is improved.

A Nizpro ECU flash upgrade can provide the follow benefits:

  • Increased horsepower. 200, 225, 250, and 300 horsepower Yamaha engines can be transformed into 332 horsepower monsters!

Nizpro Supercharger

Featuring a fully comprehensive, bolt-on kit (intercoolers, fuel injectors, fuel pump, ECU upgrade, and more) the Nizpro 450s Supercharger is made to work with the 200, 225, and 250 (SHO) and 225, 250, and 300 (Offshore Series) 4.2-liter, V6 Yamaha outboards.

For an example of the kind of speed increase that can be realized with a Nizpro 450s supercharger, a standard 250 SHO outboard engine supercharged by Nizpro can increase top speed by as much as 20 miles per hour (considering a boat weight of 2,500 to 3,000 pounds). 

The Nizpro Marine 450s Supercharger was designed to operate using 91 octane gas, but it can perform optimally with 89 octane.
